COLD & WARM WATER FISHING / Kids day

So I had the pleasure of guiding my boys steelhead fishing upstate for a few hours today.
We are  up for a drift boat trip on the Salmon River tomorrow and figured we would wet a line once we arrived!
Our first drifts produced a beautiful chrome hen steelhead which the boys worked together to net and land!
We were able to hit a few small steelhead as well and I lost 2 more good fish before the sun began to set. Despite the cold, rainy windy weather it was an absolute blast spending this time on the water with my boys doing what I love and watching them enjoy every minute of it...I can't wait to see what tomorrow brings!

Had a great opening day hunting with my daughter. We seen a spike and 1 doe this morning and 6 does this afternoon.. Shes ready to give it another try tomorrow morning..Its great spending time in the woods with her making what i hope will be good memories for her..  I try to make it as much fun as possible never yelling at her for moving to much or making any noises like my father did with me.. I would have to say hunting as a kid with my father was torture sitting all day against a tree and getting yelled at if i coughed or made any sounds or movement.. Good luck everyone and enjoy the time u have to be in the woods..

GENERAL DISCUSSIONS / Re: Chris brackett

my only problem with the whole thing is why a year later? why didn't he come out within a few days of the incident? I heard of a incident where a camera man wanted $250k payout to keep quiet about a legal elephant kill. Said he was going to provide video of the kill and say it was poached to the countries government if he didn't get paid. He got paid and then black balled from the industry for it. Lawyer and court fees would have been much more. Did this guy try the same thing? The blowing up at a camera man seemed like frustration with a amateur camera man. Not saying it was right to do. Paying top dollar for a camera man and getting junk footage isn't right either. The poaching was wrong and needs to be addressed.
