HUDSON RIVER STRIPER FISHING AND SALT WATER FISHING / Re: Not Long Now!!!
« Last post by b-g-k on Yesterday at 10:45:09 PM »
I went out today just to make sure everything was in order.  Right after launching at ryder I was able to assist another boater who launched and never got their outboard running, very short tow back.  I made my way down to the rondout light and marked plenty lf fish between there and just north of black creek.  A few suspended fish, but mostly hanging on the bottom.   Surface temp at 11ish I showed just under 44 degrees on both my fish finder and fishhawk.  By 1 it was 44ish, and a little colder 15-17í down on my probe.  Thereís definitetly fish here, we just need a solid 7-10 days of warm temps Iíd think. Iím betting we wont see worthwhile fishing at least until the first week of May, and of course itíll warm quick.  I hope we get a week back at the end, going longer than usual... but my money says itís going to warm, be intense, and end right around normal time. Is what it is! Iím ready.

Hey nyPredator
Yep, Same boat. By the end of the season the carpet was shot. So, new carpet, which led to new floor, which led to re-paint and on and on. I complained when I did my old Bass boat. This thing had carpet everywhere except the live-well. About 300 screws and 200 pop-rivets later It's almost done. If it didn't have a name already, I would have named it "What a DumbA**"
Good luck this year. I got your number and will keep you in the loop.
