Crappie time...

Finally. Been waiting for this. Some of the best eating fish on the planet. The big one is 16.5ins. Pretty big...

I think the size limit(9in) really done wonders for this lake. When I was a kid you'd be real lucky to get 1 10 inches. Now most of them are over 9. Will be back there in a couple hrs. Gotta take advantage of spawning crappies while you can!!

A 16 inch crappie,wow! My son and I caught a half dozen on a pond yesterday,but nothing that big.Got ours on worms,roostertails and even a red daredevil.What did you catch yours on ejp419?

Almost all of them on jigs. Mainly curlytail grubs. The biggest one (3lbs 1 ounce 18in) was on a yellow jighead /black body. They been hammering the black head/white body too. Caught about 10 more since then between 14-16ins.Caught a 12" and 14" this morning....Like I said I ain't never seen this before. I use to fish this lake alot when I was young, but probly never caught one over 12". Now I'm not keeping them unless they're 12in" lol..Good luck.

The lake at lakeshore villas has some good crappie and a great spot for pickeral and bass ass well.You need to know someone that lives there to fish it though.Upton lake also has good crappie along with trout i believe....

It is a private lake. The record was caught there afew years ago. 3 lbs 13 ounces. I know there's a 4lber there, somewhere, and I want 'em..Ya gotta know someone to be able to fish it anywheres good........
