my buddy owns a house on the lake and we used to fish up there in hopes of pulling out a land lock, never did, we did quite well with panfish and small mouth lost one pike at the hole besides that it was always cold as fuc$

I've seen quite a few ice fishing videos of guys doing well up there on landlocked salmon and lake trout. Also stocked with brookies and browns. Supposedly Northerns aren't too plentiful but they get big. Good yellows and pumpkinseeds (state record was caught there.) There's a good population of rainbow smelt as well.

It is a fun lake for bass & perch during the summer.

I've been to Indian Lake 3 times and never ice fished it.
Parking is very limited and if you don't have an ATV or snow machine, you have a very long walk to the desired spots.
There is parking at the marina, a very steep decent to the lake. There is also parking at the south end where the lake is shallow and along route 30 there are some spots.
The shores are pretty steep to get to the water and the trails are rough.
We have fished Abanakee, Lewey, Adirondack and Eaton with limited success, at least the access is much easier.

We're going to try Great Sacandaga Lake this year.
