Spud your way and stay on top.

Solid 3.5" at Chodikee, drilled at the end of the dock but did not venture out.

I fished 2 lakes in Sullivan County yesterday and measured about 4" on each.  With a warm up coming, I suggest bringing
the spud bar.

3" from the dock on Chodikee. Weather not looking good for weekend. Going to hit North South Lake day after Christmas.

9.5" up at North South Lake. Five short picks, 1 largemouth and two yellows on tip ups. No luck jogging. Another group got 8-10 small picks, four largemouth and six yellows on tip ups, third group got akunked. Slick solid ice. Ice hockey party out there on the entire lake lol. Went by Louisa on the way home and only skim ice and open water.

Any of you ever get into T/Muskies at North South Lake? Tried like hell last year and skunked out.

My dad hooked into a big one that was about three feet and i missed it at the boat with the net, snapped the four# mono, he was fighting it for quite some time the whole campground was watching lol, we were trolling with ultralight gear and weren't expecting it. I'd be interested in hearing anyone else's encounters with them. I've heard way more northern Pike reports (biggest 40") up there than tiger muskies.

We fish there about one a year and catch a lot of pickerel but never caught a muskie.
I had heard they stocked muskies so I asked the lady at the checkin station about it and she said
most of the stocked fish are eaten by the birds.

I'm thinking of fishing north / south on Jan 1st.  How were the edges ?  did they also have 9.5".
Just worried about this rain and warmup .

And do you know if there is a bait shop between poughkeepsie and there ?

thanks.
Carl

The edges were a bit iffy near the access site but edges looked fine everywhere else. There were places you could get on at the access, a bus of over 50 ice skaters were walking on and off the ice all day.. I measured 6" right in front but all across the main sheet was a solid 9.5". Gander and Olives on the Ulster side, and Hook Line and Sinker and Northern Dutchess Are hery in Red Hook (call ahead of time). Good luck.

Fished north/south yesterday.  8" of ice once you got out.  I needed a plank to get on at the parking lot.

Many people were using power augers.
