HUDSON VALLEY ARTIFACTS
« on: August 22, 2010, 10:19:39 AM »
Does anyone collect Indian artifacts or metal detect here in the Hudson valley?  Here are some of the artifacts that i collected this spring and summer so far in fields and creeks here in the HV. The copper coin is a 1745 British copper and the big piece in the middle is a rough quarts ax or chopper. The rest are whole or broken arrowheads, knives and scrapers.

Hey Ron,

This is Steve. Just registered on your site yesterday. Hope all is well. I've been able to get on the hudson and here are a few things I've found.  Tell me what you think!  Have to hook up and go out artifact hunting...found some good spots.

i'm positive it's not a fossil because there are carved grooves within the rock...def not natural.
